Juan Gualberto G?mez Airport (airport code VRA) is located 20 kilometers from the town of Varadero, Cuba, on the coast of the Straits of Florida south of the Florida Keys. Varadero is about 140 kilometers east from the capital of Havana. G?mez Airport has 25 airlines with flights throughout the Caribbean and between Europe, Canada and South America. Close to the beach resorts of northwestern Cuba, taxis, buses, and rental cars are available for travelers. The airport has a single terminal with three jet bridges, however, air stairs are used for some aircraft. With 20 kilometers of white sand beaches, the Playa Azul of Varadero is a large tourist area.
