Tan Son Nhat International Airport (airport code SGN) is located in 6 kilometers north of the center of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The airport is the busiest and largest in the country with over 15.5 million visitors annually. The airport consists of two terminals, Terminal 1 for domestic flights and the newly opened Terminal 2 for international flights. Taxis, buses, car hires and motorcycles provide transport into the city, still called Saigon by locals. Over 40 airlines provide service to the airport with flights throughout Asia and Europe. Flights from North America usually arrive via Singapore, Bangkok or Hong Kong. National carrier Vietnam Airlines provides flights throughout the country.
