San Diego International Airport (airport code SAN), called Lindbergh Field by locals, is located 3 miles northwest of downtown San Diego, California. The airport is the nation's busiest single-runway commercial airport with 600 daily flights. The airport has three terminals, 1 and 2 and the Commuter Terminal. The Metropolitan Transit System operates the San Diego Transit Flyer (Bus No. 992) providing direct service between the airport and downtown San Diego and stops at all three terminals. Taxis, shuttles and rental cars are also available. The airport has 22 airlines providing non-stop service throughout the United States including both Maui and Honolulu in Hawaii and non-stop services to Mexico and Canada.
