Portland International Jetport (airport code PWM) is the gateway to Maine and the rest of New England. With service from seven airlines, Portland provides direct links to the eastern US and Canada including direct flights to Atlanta, Chicago, and Philadelphia as well as Halifax, Nova Scotia, Quebec City, Canada, and London, England. Reopened in October 2011, the Jetport Terminal has been expanded to better serve the 1.8 million travelers the airport sees each year. Portland is a major cruise ship destination with over 90,000 ship passengers in 2011. Just a five minute drive from the Jetport is downtown Portland, voted one of Forbes Magazine "Most Livable Cities' in 2009.
