Philadelphia International Airport (airport code PHL) serves the 5th largest metropolitan area in the United States and is owned and operated by the City of Philadelphia. Located seven miles southwest from downtown Philly, the airport is easily accessible by car from Interstates 76, 95 and 476 and also by rail service by the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority's (SEPTA) High Speed Airport Line from all terminals. The airport has seven terminals, A-East and the recently built Terminal A-West (serving international travelers), B, C, D, E and F. Terminal F is already undergoing an expansion scheduled for completion in 2014. A high-end shopping corridor connects Terminals B and C. The Airport Marriott Hotel at PHL is the airport's only on-site hotel and is connected to Terminal B via skybridge. A city steeped in history, Philadelphia is considered the birthplace of the nation with plenty of historic sites within walking distance of each other.
