Munich International Airport (airport code MUC) is located 27 kilometers northeast of Munich, the capital of Bavaria in Southern Germany. The airport features an Airport Center between two terminals, 1 and 2. Munich is the 2nd busiest airport in Germany and the 7th in Europe in passenger traffic hosting over 34.5 million passengers each year. Access the S-Bahn by underground rail station to get to Munich's Hauptbahnhof (main rail station). Voted 4th Best Airport in Europe by Skytrax, the airport's Visitor's Park features an 18-hole mini-golf course and playground and a Viewing Terrace on Level 07 of Terminal 2 for watching the airplanes take off and land on the eastern side.
