LaGuardia Airport

LaGuardia Airport (airport code LGA) in New York City has been serving passengers since 1939. Operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which also operates JFK and Newark airports, LaGuardia is located in the borough of Queens about 8 miles from midtown Manhattan. LaGuardia has four terminals: Terminal A (Marine Air Terminal), Terminal B (Central Terminal Building), Terminal C, and Terminal D. For travel to and from the city, taxis and rental cars work best and there is bus service to subway stations that connect to other locations around New York City and beyond. With more than 20 airlines flying to cities in the US, Canada and the Caribbean, LaGuardia has over 1,000 daily landings and takeoffs. Less than 4 miles from LaGuardia are Citi Field, home to baseball's New York Mets, and the USTA National Tennis Center, home to the US Open.
