Washington Dulles International Airport (airport code IAD) is located in Chantilly, VA, about 26 miles from Washington, D.C. The airport consists of a Main Terminal and several midfield concourses, A, B, C, and D. The airport is connected to D.C. by the Airport Access Highway, which runs directly to the Capital Beltway. To better serve passengers, the airport is currently planning a 23-mile extension of the Metrorail system with completion by 2016. The Metrorail will also pass through two major employment corridors, Tysons Corner and Reston-Herndon. Dulles Airport has 82 nonstop US destinations and 48 nonstop international destinations. As the nation's capital, Washington D.C. is home to the President, Congress and the Supreme Court and every nation that has diplomatic relationships with the US has an embassy in D.C. It is also home to 16 Smithsonian museums, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and 70% of the city is national parkland.
