William P. Hobby Airport (airport code HOU) is located 7 miles south of downtown Houston, Texas, and is the city's oldest commercial airport. The airport consists of a Central Concourse with 26 gates. Hobby Airport handles domestic flights (international flights use George Bush Intercontinental) and is a regional center for corporate and private aircraft. Hobby consistently ranks in the Top 5 for customer service by J.D. Power and Associates for the last few years. Currently five air carriers and one charter service have operations at the airport, which hosts nearly 8.5 million passengers per year.
