Honolulu International Airport (airport code HNL) on the Hawaiian island of Oahu hosts over 20 million visitors each year. Served by 27 air carriers, the airport has three terminals. The recently renovated Oversees Terminal hosts the majority of travelers both international and from the mainland United States. The Commuter Terminal serves smaller airlines and operates flights to the other islands. The Interisland Terminal serves both Hawaiian and Mokulele Airlines and includes their inter-island, US and international flights. The airport provides free transportation to passengers traveling between terminals. Located 6 miles from downtown Honolulu and only 10 miles from Waikiki, transportation can be arranged through shuttles, buses, taxis and rental cars.
