Galeao Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport

The dual airports of Rio de Janeiro/Galeao Airport serving domestic travelers and Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport (airport code GIG) together are located 20 kilometers from the center of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and make up the 7th busiest airport in Latin America. More commonly referred to as Galeao Airport, the airport is accessed by several expressways, such as the Red Line, Yellow Line and Brazil Avenue. Taxis, buses and rental cars are also available. Galeao Airport is connected to over 26 domestic locations and 24 international locations hosting over 12 million visitors each year. Over 20 airlines provide service to the airports two terminals, Terminals 1 and 2.
