Denver International Airport (airport code DEN) serves the Denver metropolitan area and the Colorado Rocky Mountain Region. It is the 5th busiest airport the United States and 11th busiest in the world. Identifiable by its peaked fiberglass roof, Denver Airport opened in 1995 and in less than 20 years has become a major transportation hub handling over 50 million passengers annually. The airport has a two-sided main terminal and three concourses, A, B, and C. The passenger bridge between Jeppeson Terminal and Concourse A is 45.61 feet above the taxiway allowing passengers to watch planes taxi below. Located 23 miles northeast of downtown, taxis, buses and rental cars are available.
