Bahrain International Airport (airport code BAH) is located in the Kingdom of Bahrain, about 7 kilometers northeast of the capital city of Manama. The airport sees about 8.9 million passengers each year and is currently undergoing expansion to handle triple the capacity in the future. The existing terminal, Terminal 1, will be replaced with two new terminals. Taxis and rental cars are available for transport to and from the airport and around the country. Forty-three airlines currently serve the airport. Bahrain is a group of 33 islands situated in the Arabian Gulf off the coast of Saudi Arabia It is connected to mainland Saudi Arabia by the King Fahd Causeway.
