Albany International Airport (airport code ALB) is the major airport serving Northeastern New York and Western New England. With seven airlines serving the US and Canada, Albany has non-stop service to 24 cities including Toronto, Boston, New York, Chicago, Las Vegas and Washington DC. The airport has one terminal with Level 1 ticketing and baggage claim, Level 2 gates and concessions and Level 3 administrative offices and a Public Observation Deck. The airport is six miles from the city center and has buses, rental cars and hotel shuttles available for transport. In 2000, Albany completed a multi-million dollar redevelopment expanding the terminal to 230,000 square feet to serve 1.2 million passengers.
