Auckland Airport

Auckland Airport (airport code AKL) is located 21 kilometers south of Auckland, New Zealand. Considered the gateway to New Zealand, over 70 percent of the country's visitors either enter or leave through Auckland Airport. Over 20 airlines serve more than 13 million travelers each year. The airport has two terminals, International and Domestic. A 15-minute walk separates the terminals. Located near a major motorway, the airport is easily accessed by taxi or rental car. Helicopter transfers are also available. Airbus operates bus service between the airport and the city every 20 minutes and takes only 30 to 35 minutes. Novetel Auckland Airport Hotel is located adjacent to the International Terminal.
