Albuquerque International Sunport (airport code ABQ) is New Mexico's largest commercial airport welcoming over six million people a year. The airport has three terminals, 1, 2 and 3, with Terminal 3 divided into Concourses A and B. A hub for Southwest Airlines, which handles over 50% of the airport's passengers, Southwest's Reservations Center is located adjacent to the airport. Sunport is currently undergoing renovations to create new concession locations, add restrooms, expand gate holding areas and incorporate environmentally friendly building systems. Sunport shares its runways with Kirtland Air Force Base, which provides rescue and firefighting aircraft services. At 5,352 feet in elevation, Sunport is over one mile above sea level.
